UNTO VICTORY

SIXTEEN THINGS CHRIST WAS MADE TO BE SO THAT ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM MIGHT HAVE A BETTER RESURRECTION, BOTH UNTO A NEW LIFE NOW, AND A NEW LIFE ETERNALLY AT THE END OF THIS AGE.

NOTE: THESE SIXTEEN ADDRESSES APPEAR HERE IN THE ORDER OF THEIR APPEARANCE IN THE SCRIPTURES:

ALSO NOTE: SIXTEEN IS THE BIBLICAL NUMBER OF “LOVE.”

1

1 Cor 1:30-31

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made

unto us [Strongs: cause to be; become; come into being] wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 [So] That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord [Jer 9:23-24].

2

1 Cor 15:45

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam [The first man Adam was in many ways typical of the Last man Adam] was made a living soul; the last Adam was made [“Made” is in italics; understood from previous “made”] a quickening [Life-giving] spirit.

3

2 Cor 5:18-21

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us [The apostles, but unto all Christians as well] the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For [Because] he [God] hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

4

Gal 3:13-14

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 [So] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles [That’s us if we were not born an Israelite] through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

5 & 6

Gal 4:4-7 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

7 & 8

Phil 2:5-8

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God [Unlike the first Adam, Jesus thought equality with God was something He was not to grasp after]:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself [Highly unlike the first Adam], and became obedient unto death [His choice], even the death of the cross.

9

Heb 1:1-4

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

10

Heb 2:17-18

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour [Aid; relieve; help] them that are tempted.

11

Heb 5:8-10

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

12

Heb 6:17-20

17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

13

Heb 7:15-17

15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec [Ps 110:4].

14

Heb 7:19-22

19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

20 And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament [The New Testament].

15

Heb 7:26

26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [Eph 4:10 “He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.”]

16

1 Peter 2:6-8

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

THIS SEVENTEENTHMADE” IS OURS TO MAKE BY APPLYING TO OURSELVES THE WORD OF GOD IN ALL THE SEVENTEEN WAYS JESUS WAS MADE FOR US

Rev 19:7

7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

NOTE: SEVENTEEN IS THE BIBLICAL NUMBER OF “VICTORY.”

1 Cor 15:54-57

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin [Jesus was made sin for us]; and the strength of sin is the law [Jesus was made under the law of the carnal commandment].

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
