BECOMING RADICAL

I'm getting older. No denying that. A lot of things have changed and there is still change to come, but through it all the voice of God has carried me, sustained me and, above all, it has taught me. I am not the same as I was when Christ became my Savior and Lord. 

Isa 28:9-10

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned

from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

This is how we are changed; and, this is how we grow: we give ourselves fully into the hand of God! By the standards of the world I am not successful but I know something...there is a voice within me that can help. It is the voice of Jesus the Christ and it is within all of us that are called by His name. The problem has been our failure to loose that voice. But this is the day of the Lord and our families, our neighbors, our communities and our nation need to hear that sure word. I have determined, with God's help, to loose that Voice, for It alone is well able to comfort, to encourage, to exhort onward and to bring change. Let God be true and every man be a liar (Romans 3:4)!

The word "radical" has taken on a very negative connotation because of the age of terrorism in which we live. But make no mistake about it. Jesus was a Radical, and those that followed Him became equally radical as far as the world and its systems were concerned.  It is said that they turned the world upside down.  And, they did it without ever lifting a hand in anger (Acts 17:6)!  I fully believe that, if we will follow their example, Our Heavenly Father affords us that same opportunity in our day.  Let us all, without ever lifting a hand in anger, release that radical voice of Christ that speaks truth to the world! ...Creation itself waits upon us (Romans 8:19)!
