THE END POINT
The prophetic Voice to Abraham established Israel…and later
the prophetic Voice projected Israel's fall. The Old Testament prophets, by
God's Voice through them, established the coming of the Messiah to His own, and
that same Voice
predicted their rejection of Him as the end of the matter for
Israel. Thus Christ said, "I turn to a people who are not yet a
people," and that Word established the time when the body of Christ would
be drawn from every nation. The book of Revelation was, and yet is, a prophecy
given to the Apostle John with instruction to write what he had seen and heard
about events leading to the end of the age!
Paul's exhortation to Timothy was that he should remember the prophecies
that went before him for they had a fulfilling end.
1 Tim 1:18
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to
the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them
mightest war a good warfare;
1 Tim 4:14-15
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was
given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the
presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them;
that thy profiting may appear to all.
This is all proof that without the prophetic Voice there is
no establishing of an end point. Thus when that Voice is rejected and, even
worse, said not to any more exist, we are doomed to wander in a spiritual
wasteland with no end. The prophetic voice establishes a goal, an end of the
matter, and will exhort us onward until we can say...I have finished my course!
